Margo has played second violin in the PEI Symphony for over 40 years, as well as in various ensembles from classical to folk to jazz. She has worked in theater as an Actor, Assistant Stage Manager, Assistant Administrator, and Fund-seeker. She has television experience as Trainee Assistant to the Director and Production Assistant for Emily of New Moon television series.

Margo has decades of experience in corporate and foundation fund-seeking for provincial and national non-profits, and she has served on the Boards of the PEI and Canadian Marfan Associations, Women’s Network, and the PEI Symphony. She has also worked as a grief counsellor for the Canadian Marfan Association and for gay suicide prevention. Other work ranges from being a researcher for UPEI Professors to being a teacher in the public school system. She recently retired as a Medical Adjudicator for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Margo now has more time to write. She has, in the past, won 6 Island Literary Awards, in poetry, children’s literature, and creative non-fiction. She has had a short story and poems published in anthologies by island writers, and is currently working on countless writing projects, including a cookbook.

She says her dream is to write the great Canadian novel, improve her violin skills, and do stand-up comedy.
