Shawn Doiron is a conductor, educator, composer, and performer with over 25 years of teaching and playing experience. He has taught with the Public Schools Branch since 2003 and has been a guest lecturer and sessional instructor at the University of Prince Edward Island. 

He has performed with groups such as the ECMA award-winning group Sirens, The Dream Lotus Choir, The PEI Symphony Orchestra (PEISO), The Band of the Ceremonial Guard, The Land Forces Atlantic Area Army Band, The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, The Maritime Band Ensemble, The Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble, The Great George Street Brass Band, The UPEI Wind Symphony, and The PEI Regiment Band. His primary instruments are percussion, bass, and guitar; he also sings and plays the trumpet and piano. He holds a Master of Education in 20th Century Leadership and Learning degree and a Bachelor of Music (Education focus) degree.
