Darin MacBeth was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. Among life’s achievements, his proudest is being the father of his two daughters, Sofia and Gracie MacBeth. He and his brother Duane own and operate MacBeth Bros. Roofing Inc. As a childhood dancer and singer, Darin performed in Anne of Green Gables and held multiple lead roles in musical theatre. He studied Music at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, where he was a student of James Sommerville (French Horn) and James Sugg (Voice).
He served as a member of the Ceremonial Guard Band in Ottawa on Parliament Hill and has performed as a French horn soloist for many ensembles, including the PEISO. He has also performed extensively throughout Atlantic Canada as a vocal soloist, as well as a lead singer and bass player. Darin regularly performs with PEISO, UPEI Wind Symphony, PEI Regimental Band, Holland College Band, Great George Street Brass Band, Amabile, St. Peter’s Cathedral Choir, and his own band “MacBeth.” Through these multiple outlets, he strives to live the dream he once envisioned as an aspiring musician. Every performance is infused with passion, and Darin feels very privileged to perform for you every single time.
