Marti Hopson (she/her) grew up on the shores of Lake Superior (Gichi-gami), and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University and a Masters of Music at the University of Victoria, before a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ontario Veterinary College. She composed, performed, and directed many musical and theatre events in Ontario, Quebec and BC moving to Prince Edward Island. In 2016, she became involved with the River Clyde Pageant as Music Director, composer, and performer. She conducts DNTS community orchestra, and is active in the theatre and film community. The rest of her time is spent arranging mobile veterinary clinics to remote areas of Canada's North, and working at the Atlantic Veterinary College and the PEI Humane Society..
