“ALL THINGS CLASSICAL” CALENDAR OF EVENTS

all-things-circleIn addition to four annual concerts that the PEISO performs there is a lot going on PEI year-round of interest to classical music enthusiasts!  The ALL THINGS CLASSICAL year-round calendar of events lists performances by classical musicians and related artists on PEI year-round island-wide.

In some cases special pricing may be available for PEISO supporters on tickets for select concerts!

October 7th: The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD “Norma”. Cineplex, 670 University Ave. Visit www.cineplex.com/opera for more details.

October 13th: Elora Festival Singers, sponsored by the Royal Canadian College of Organists of PEI. Trinity United Church, 220 Richmond St, Charlottetown; 7:30pm. Tickets available from Ann at 902-367-2850.

October 14th: The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD “Die Zauberflöte”. Cineplex, 670 University Ave. Visit www.cineplex.com/opera for more details.

October 20th: Debut Atlantic & UPEI Music Department present The Bouey-Doucet Duo – Christina Bouey (violin), Pierre-André Doucet (piano). Dr. Steel Recital Hall, UPEI, Charlottetown; 7:30pm. $20 for adults and seniors, $15 for students.

October 22: The “PEI Pops!”, under the direction of Leo Marchildon, presents ” A Hallowe’en in Canada”, an afternoon of famous (or infamous) Hallowe’en fare coupled with an encore presentation of Marchildon’s “Canada, Our Dear Home”, a symphonic tribute to the fiddle music of PEI and its contribution to the cultural legacy of our great nation. St. Paul’s Anglican Church, (Prince & Grafton St, Charlottetown). Concert starts at 3 pm and admission is by free-will offering.

November 7th: Showcase Recital featuring UPEI Music Performance Students. Kirk of St. James, 35 Fitzroy St, Charlottetown; 7:30pm. Free admittance.

November 16th: Jane Coop (piano). Dr. Steel Recital Hall, UPEI, Charlottetown; 7:30pm. $20 for adults and seniors, $15 for students.

November 18th: The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD “The Exterminating Angel”. Cineplex, 670 University Ave. Visit www.cineplex.com/opera for more details.

November 24th: UPEI Wind Symphony, directed by Dr. Karem J Simon. Park Royal United Church, 11 Christie Dr, Charlottetown; 7:30pm. $15 for adults and seniors, $10 for students.
